We had another very stellar turnout for our second meeting with 27 avid photographers in attendance. The meeting had both visual and educational content. Ramesh Pooran talked about the trends and options for cameras currently hitting the market. Erin Johnston put on a "show and tell" on the Clic Photo Show including images from past award winners. She reminded everyone that the 2013 deadline for entries is May 10th. I put on a short refresher session on "exposure". The rest of the meeting was full of inspiring images including Carol Quinn's short winter wonderland slideshow with music accompanyment and the viewing of 90 images submitted by 19 of our club members on the March theme challenge - "First Signs of Spring". The meeting ended on a high note with a breathtaking display of colours, shapes, forms and textures put on by Tina Konecny (image above is from Tina's collection).
Plans are well underway for several club outings and, of course, our next meeting in early May. More on all that shortly.
